Article : Drama Network to Start Act Project

Drama Network having signed the contract with the OHCHR will soon begin the Act Project. The Project is expected to raise the awareness and understanding on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for youung people in some selected Junior High Schools in the Asuogyaman District to respect the rights of others as well as demand their rights.

To do this Drama Network will engage educational authorities and teachers in the district to identify some extracurricular activities into which human rights education can be included. It is also expected that by the end of the project the Universal Declaration on Human Rights would be mainstreamed into their teaching sessions.

Some activities which is expected to be undertaken in the project include the formation of school 'Rights' Clubs and the development of teaching and educational materials on the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.
